What is it?
Google Wallet is a payment system very similar to PayPal.
Alternatives
Well… it’s a payment system… which means that you need a bank at some point, which means that it’s going to be challenging to get more ownership there (yeah, I know, it’s YOUR money).
How could anyone pay for something without having Google/MasterCard/Visa/NSA/YourGovernment/YourBank knowing about it? What about inexpensive micropayments?
- Use cash (low tech powa).
- Use a digital currency like Bitcoin.
