Stop Google
The internet is decentralized by nature, unfortunately, some people are greedy and having something decentralized means that they can't have much control over it, so they want to centralize it as much as they can.
I'm not going to talk about why centralization is bad because that there are so many reasons that it's obvious. I'm just going to talk about how to get back a little bit of privacy on your digital life and a whole lot more of control on your own data.
This series of posts will be about how to stop using some of Google services and replace them with "better" technologies. I took Google because it's offering a lot of different services and is widely used.
For lots of alternatives to Google services, it involves hosting your own data/services, either at home if you have a good internet connection with static IP address or in a datacenter.
